William H. Hobbs, 65, of Nashville, TN, passed away on February 24, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara (Holzapfel) Hobbs; five children, Ellen Fournier (Tryon), Brent Hobbs (Christina), Emily Hobbs, Blair Hobbs and Ben Hobbs (Kayla); and grandchildren Amelia, Dominica, Ruby, Lazio and Everett (Gus).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie C. Hobbs, and his father, William H. Hobbs. He was a loving husband, amazing father, beloved pawpaw, brother-in-law, cousin, uncle and friend to many.
Athens Distributing Company employed him for over 38 years. He enjoyed his work and greatly appreciated his work family. In addition to always making people laugh, he was a skilled craftsman, an avid golfer and all around generous man. A special thank you to his oncologist, Dr. Kristen Ciombor and the rest of the oncology and infusion teams at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their loving care.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on March 4, 2021 at 11am. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden.
