Jane A. Hollis, 91, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away Dec. 5, 2016, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.
Jane was born June 20, 1925 in Greenview, Illinois, the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Maude (May) Austin. She was the youngest of five children. She married John H. Hollis on Feb. 22, 1947. They shared 63 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Kathleen Vincent, Wilma Jansen and Annabelle Olson; brother, Daniel Austin; grandson, Justin Leach and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by two children, Larry A. Hollis and Holly C. Hollis; daughter-in-law, Mary Hollis; two grandchildren, Ben Hollis and Katelyn (RJ) Green; two great-granddaughters, as well as several nieces and nephews.
