Beloved wife, cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carolyn Elizabeth (Landers) Gill, age 78, passed away in Marshall, Texas on February 23, 2021. Carolyn was born on January 9, 1943 in Pittsburg, Texas to Jack Landers and Ruby Gene Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Ruby Harrison. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Donald Gill, Sr.; her children, Kathy Henson, Michael Weber (Linda) and Shannon Freeman (Jeff); her grandchildren, Dwayne Henson (Tricia), Ryan Henson (Christa), Zachary Carter (Haley), Mason Freeman (Kaitlyn), Lacy Freeman, David Freeman, Season Freeman, TJ Gonzales (Jessica), Maddison Vrbnjak (Sanjiin), Desiray Gonzales, Natalie Weber and Ryan Noble; 10 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Donald and Mellisa Gill, Jr. and family, Bobby and Meredith Edwards and family, Billy Gill, Lance and Kara Owens and family, as well as numerous other family and friends. Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Hallsville and was a teacher’s aide for many years. She enjoyed painting and drawing and had a passion for anything “western”. She loved riding horses and riding motorcycles with her husband, but her greatest joy was spending time and creating memories with her children and grandchildren. Carolyn loved her family fiercely and was well loved in return. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their special thanks to Carolyn’s caregiver, Rebecca Willett. A time of visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 26, 2021 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm at First Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas. Funeral Service will begin at 1:30pm with Bro. Mark Moore officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Dwayne Henson, David Freeman, Ryan Henson, Jacob Green, Zachary Carter, Gene Edmundson and Mason Freeman.
