Doris M. Roye Huber Cook, 92, of LaGrange, GA peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Cook was born December 29, 1928 in LaGrange, GA to the late Willie Ward Roye and Thelma Doris Thornton Roye. She was a member of Word of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Mansour’s after many years of service. Mrs. Cook volunteered as a foster grandparent at Unity Elementary and enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and being outside in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin L. Huber; her second husband, Charlie Dawson Cook; and her sister, Joyce Birdyshaw.

Survivors include her children, Ronnie L. and Linda Huber, Linda M. and Wayne Swanson, Joan E. and Allen Hobbs, A. Lamar and Emily Huber; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Bro. William “Bill” Pemberton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until service time on Saturday. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
