Geneva Claire "Jean" Roberts of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence. She was 91 years old. Jean was born May 5, 1923 in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Webster Lear and the late Lillian Mae Lear (nee - Seese). She is the beloved mother of Ray Roberts and his wife the late Judith and Daniel M. Roberts and his wife Patricia A.; grandmother of Judith Anne Hull and her husband Chris, Raymond Roberts and his wife Kathie, Daniel P. Roberts and his wife Katie, Denise Rossi, Margaret Buono and her husband Jacen, Michael Roberts and his wife Cherie, and the late James Donovan Roberts; great grandmother of thirteen; and the sister of the late Ethel Elizabeth Lear and the late Raymond Crawford Lear and his wife the late Miriam.
Jean was born, raised, and educated in Upper Moreland. She was a 1941 graduate of Upper Moreland High School. Jean went to work first for Fisher and Porter during the Second World War and later was a cashier at Penn Fruit in Willow Grove. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, loved crosswords and word searches, and taught her grandchildren how to play Rummy. Jean was a long time member of the Willow Grove Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
