Patty L. “Pat” Beal, 89, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021.

She was born February 4, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Charles E. and Florence G. (Evans) Cummickel. She was a 1950 graduate of Topeka High School.

Pat was employed by Stormont-Vail Hospital and retired from the Shawnee Heights School District, USD 450.
She was an active member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.

Pat married William H. “Bill” Beal, Jr. on February 4, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas. Pat and Bill were married for 67 years. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2018. Survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, William Cummickel.

Pat spent many years raising her two daughters, volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader and Room Mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
