Mr. James Joseph Hampton, age 47, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the Norton Medical Pavilion in Louisville, KY. Jimmy was born December 10, 1973, the son of John Franklin Hampton, Sr. and Paulette Rose Guelda. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

Jimmy is survived by three children, Jessica Knott and her husband, Nathan, Megan Hampton and her boyfriend, Christian Dodge and James Hampton, Jr.; five grandchildren, Carson and Connor Knott, Ava Rueles, Eli and Waylon Dodge; his mother, Paulette Guelda Pate; three sisters, Sharon Popham and her husband, Kelly, Tina Bush, and Kimber Hampton; his brother, Michael Hampton and his wife, Melissa; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 1, 2021, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Trumie Culpepper Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
