GLADYS' OBITUARY
Mrs. Gladys Edwards, 96, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Grenada Living Center. She was born Friday, February 20, 1925, in Louisville, MS to Everette and Myrtle Barfield Tanksley. A master seamstress, Mrs. Edwards worked for a number of years at Pennaco Hosiery and Kellwood. She loved spending time outdoors tending to her yard and flowers. While her relationship with the Lord was first, the love she had for her family was paramount to her. She was a member of Airport Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Grenada Memorial Garden with Dr. Clarence Cooper and Dr. Joey Faulk officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Kay McCuan(Mac) and Debbie Harville(Charles), both of Grenada; one son, Ricky Edwards(Sandra) of Grenada; six grandchildren, Angie Miller(Calvin), Bryan Harville, Jonathan Harville(Lindsey), Ben Edwards(Tiffany), Samantha Gilbert(Rich) and Kim Williamson(Jackie); 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommie Edwards; sister, Hazel Ivy; and two brothers, Alton and Hilton Tanksley.
Pallbearers will be Ben Edwards, Rich Gilbert, Bryan Harville, Bryce Harville, Jonathan Harville, Riley Harville, Bo Miller and Hayden Miller.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Grenada Living Center and Legacy Hospice for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Edwards.
