Mr. Robert F. McIntyre, Jr. age 89 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Robert was born in Bristol, Virginia on March 15, 1931.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. McIntyre, Sr. and Mayme Garrett McIntyre; his wife of 63 years, June W. McIntyre; brother, Hugh McIntyre.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He worked 31 years for Southern Airways and retiring from Republic Airlines. He also retired from Dundee Mills after 10 years.

After retirement he served the community being active in the local Republican Party, helping with Habitat for Humanity, Voice of Veterans, and board member of the Spalding County Water Authority and had a love for Ham radios.

He is survived by his children, Arnold McIntyre, Donna Kent, and Pat (Ronnie) Hensler; grandchildren, Holly (Brian), Hunter (Emily), Garrett, Chase, Sommer (Josh); great grandchildren, Amelia, Wilder, Aspen, Scarlett and Kynzie.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home followed by a memorial service in the chapel. Dr. Keith Wesley will officiate.
