Donald N. Dennis, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Friday, September 10, 1926, in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Evelyn E. (Pearson) Dennis. He was married to Gladys M. (Laudig) Dennis on December 18, 1948.

A Veteran, Donald proudly served with the U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF) during WWII. He retired from the U.S. Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg where he worked as a procurement agent for 35 years. He loved to play golf, enjoyed Big Band music, drawing, and completing the daily crypto-quotes. He loved watching the Eagles and Penn State football. He was also a long-time member of the Hershey Free Church.

In addition to his wife of over 72 years, he is survived by four children: Donald N. Dennis, Jr., of Albuquerque, NM; Lynne G. Auker, of Elizabethtown; Ann L. Etnoyer, married to Greg, of Hummelstown and Kimberly A. Coover, married to Joseph, of Mount Joy. Also surviving are six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, as well as Donald’s extended family and caring friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene W. Auker and two brothers, Charles and Robert Dennis.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family, but relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for the burial on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s memory to Samaritan’s Purse, The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Hershey Free Church, or Masonic Village Hospice.
