Apostle(Apostolos), George 6/6/1923 - 11/7/2017 Muskegon George Apostle, age 94 passed away on Tuesday evening, November 7 ,2017. He was born June 6,1923 in Lawrence, Mass., to Nickolas & Angelina (Kremidas) Apostle. George served in the Army Air Corp. from 1942 to 1946 WWII. George's plane "Our Devotion" was part of the 15th Air Force, the 459th Bombardment Group & 758th Bombardment Squadron in Italy. He was a former owner of both Balbirnie-Apostle Mortuary & State Caf /Gay90's Restaurant & Bar for 50+years. George gave 18 Organs to churches and more than 40 burial plots to the people who couldn't afford them in Laketon Township Cemetery. George was a past member of St.Paul's episcopal Church & a present member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. He was a past president of the Ahepa & member of the Masonic Temple. He is survived by a daughter Blandy Ann Apostle, a son George Balbirnie Apostle, one granddaughter Tegan Apostle,Ex-Wife Joan Harvey, and three special Friends Shirley Gillings, and Paul &Patricia Ladas.
