Doris Givens McKinney, 94, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Feb. 16, 1925 to the late Ross and Eliza Hope Givens. She was a retired school teacher for 39 years in the Butler Co. School System. She started her teaching career in several one room schools, Hickory Stand and Alum Springs and taught 16 years at Boston before retiring from Morgantown Elementary. In earlier years she attended Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons Waymon McKinney and Randy McKinney; daughter in law Nelda McKinney; sister Marjorie Maddox; brother Rodney K. Givens and caregiver Gayle Griffis.
Doris is survived by one son Kerry McKinney and wife Lesia of Morgantown; grandchildren Gina Noe and husband Jeff of Edmonton, Sherry Clark and husband Jack, Brian McKinney, Luke McKinney and wife Amber and Kerissa McKinney all of Morgantown.
The other Doris Mckinney in this cemetery was born Oct 17 1957 and her name is onthe stone with her parents Nevil and Joanne Mckinney. Mary Coursey created a FAG memorial for all three.
