Robert “Bob” Charles Small, 84, of Denton, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine.

Mr. Small was born on January 26, 1937 in Bronx, NY to Charles and Margaret Broems Small. He was married to Elizabeth “Betty” Horvath on August 11, 1962 in Patchogue, NY. He served in the United States Navy and earned his Bachelor of Science from Indiana Tech. He worked as an Electronic Engineer for Grumman Aerospace for over thirty-six years. He was a member of Denton Bible Church. Bob was a man of prayer and Bible study, and was quick to share the Gospel with anyone. His interests included long-distance running and watching birds and other wildlife on his property. He was very handy and could build a garage or fix anything that family and friends needed fixed.

Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Small of Denton; daughter, Christine Bouton and husband Kenneth of Flower Mound; son, Robert J. Small and wife Julie of Flower Mound; brother, Henry Small of Hokes Bluff, AL; grandchildren, Victoria Bouton Ricalde and husband Enrique, Katarina Bouton Jelen and husband Luke, Tiffany Small Pinney and husband Tobias, Juliana Bouton, Robyn Small, Bryce Jones; great-granddaughter, Adaline Jones. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret DelVecchio; brothers, Charles Small, Kenneth Small.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to one of the following charities: Samaritan’s Purse (https://www.samaritanspurse.org), St. Jude Children’s Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), or Gideons International (www.gideons.org).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. Interment will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
