She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Lee Godfrey; grandparents, William Harvey and Emma Jane Caldwell Carter and William Henry and Lucy Armendi Bryant Godfrey and beloved aunt, Lizzie Mae Carter, all of Millport, AL.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Thomas Warren Robinson of Millport; mother, Minnie Carter Godfrey of Millport; daughters, Michelle Gann of Gordo and Valerie White (Tim) of Loganville, GA; three grandchildren, Sean Gann (Alisa) of Franklin, TN, Kayla Gann of Gordo and Lucas White of Loganville, GA; sisters, Alice Little (Joseph) of Birmingham and Mary Lamon (the late Clarence D. “Tip” Lamon) of Kingman, AZ; brother, James Godfrey (Ann) of Millport; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Foster (the late Andy Foster) of Kennedy and Cindy Irvin (David) of Vernon; brother-in-law, Jerry Robinson (Sheila) of Millport and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ava was born February 4, 1948 in Millport, Alabama. She was a member of Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Gordo, former executive assistant to the president of Marathon Equipment in Vernon for almost 20 years and was a legal secretary in Columbus, MS for 20 years. At the time of her death, Ava worked at Caledonia High School in Caledonia, MS for the last ten years.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Foster, Rickey Hayes, Tony Hayes, Chris Irvin, Chad Robinson and Lynn Shaw.
