It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Joyce Ann Allen. She was born May 22, 1938, in Clarksville, Arkansas, at the foot of the Stillwell mountain. She passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 82.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Vestal Calder of Clarksville, Arkansas and partner of 36 years, Dean Hughes of Lamar, Arkansas.

She leaves one daughter and two sons; daughter Melissa (Missy) Walters and husband Ron Walters of Clarksville, Arkansas, who cared for her up until her death, sons, Mike Allen and wife ReDonna of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, and Kirk Allen and wife Maureen of Penn Valley, California, one sister, Mary Calder Handley of Waldron, Arkansas, one brother, Earl David Calder of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and two beloved bonus daughters, Deanie Kay Crisler and Barbara Blackard. She had 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord. She attended Stillwell Baptist and East Mt. Zion Baptist. She attended school at Clarksville, and work until her retirement as Tyson in Clarksville.

The family will have a private burial at Lamar Cemetery.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a late date that will be announced for close family and friends.
