Joel William Sanders, 63, of Waverly Hall, GA died Monday, June 27, 2011 at his residence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at a later date according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Sanders was born January 7, 1948 in Columbus, GA son of the late Claude W. and Jewell Jordan Sanders. He retired as a chef from the Huddle House and was a member of East Highland United Methodist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Sanders.
Survivors include his sister, Scarlett Sanders of Columbus, GA, nephew, Mark Stewart Aaron of Columbus, GA, cousins, Keith Davenport and his angel wife, Emily of Columbus, GA and Diane Green of Union Springs, AL, and his beloved cat, Two Tone.
