Robert Paul Norris, age 79 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on February 23, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Robert was born on November 24, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Laverne and Ruth (Sterling) Norris.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served as a pilot for the United States Marshals Service.

Robert married Nanette "Nancy" Taylor on May 18, 1969. Robert and Nancy moved to Guthrie from Adrian, Michigan and had been living here for the last 20 years.

Some of Robert's hobbies included flying, running marathons, sailing and racing at Lake Erie, visiting Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio and riding all the scary rollercoasters, and playing the piano. Robert played in many different orchestras over the years and even played in in the United States Air Force Band (The Ambassadors).

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Nancy Norris, son Timothy Norris of Guthrie, son Robert Norris, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, daughter Wendy Brannon of Alberta, Canada, daughter Cindy Wilson of Wellston, Michigan, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Laverne and Ruth Norris, son Raymond Norris, sister Gerry Ellis, brother Jim Lamping, and sister Ruth.
