Susan was a kind, loving, and patient woman with a heart of gold. She truly would do anything for anyone. She was a member of Mountain View Ministries Church in Bristol, Tenn. Susan loved the Lord and was prepared to meet Him when it came her time. Everyone who knew Susan loved her, and she loved everyone in return.
She is survived by her husband, David Roark; daughters, Amy Edwards Christian (former son-in-law Bill) of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. And Robin Roark of Bristol, Tenn.; son, Jason Roark (Shannon) of Bristol, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ashlyn Varvel, Amylyn Christian and Jessee Roark; sister, Judy Bates; brothers, Dennis Hawk (Merline), Gary Hawk (Carolyn), and Howard Hawk (Margie); brothers-in-law, Arthur Roark (Emily) and Ralph Roark; sister-in-law, Lois Still (Andy); and several nieces and nephews, and special friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, Tenn. The service will be livestreamed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Ministries, 127 Old Jonesboro Road, Bristol, Tenn., 37620; or to First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet, Capital Campaign, 735 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, Tenn., 37122
