Robert Charles Wooten, known to friends and family as R.C., Robbie, or Paa, 75, of Benton, passed away on February 19, 2021.

R.C. was born in Little Rock on December 21, 1945. He graduated from Catholic High in Little Rock. He married Barbara Jean Ward on January 28, 1967. He was a member of Congo Road Baptist Church and worked as a route salesman for Canteen Corporation for 26 years. He also owned Finders Keepers Flea Market in Bryant, with his wife Barbara. He was a Vietnam combat veteran and proudly served for the United States Marine Corps for four years, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. His passion was portraying Santa Claus for the kids at Children’s Hospital for ten years on Christmas Day, as well as other charitable organizations.

R.C. was preceded in death by his father, Carl Preston Wooten (Alifoy); his mother Bobbie Skaggs Moats (Johnnie); brothers: Carl Wooten, Jimmy Johnson, Dale Johnson; sister Bobbie Jones; the “Old Lady” (Hazel Anderson); Nonny (Janet Miller); and Buster- his faithful service dog.

R.C. was survived by his spouse of 54 years, Barbara; two daughters: Carla Wooten of Searcy (fiancé W. Bryan Barnett), Tara Wooten (Brian Burnett) of Benton; grandson Conner Wooten (fiancé Tristann Johnson) of Benton; bonus granddaughter Anna Katherine Featherston of Searcy; sister Freda Welch (Delbert); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that he loved dearly.
