Eric Wade Williams, age 40, of Criqueside Drive, Morehead, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 18, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead of an apparent heart attack.

Born September 12, 1980, in Morehead, Eric is the son of Mark and Sharon Reed Williams of Morehead.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia Barker Williams, whom he married April 6, 2007; one son, Jacob Wade Williams at home; one sister, Amber Williams (Allen Yates) of Hillsboro; and two special nieces, Jada and Kaylee Barnes.

Other survivors include maternal grandmother, Wynema Reed Sorrell of Maxey Flat; paternal grandmother, Wilma Williams of Goddard; brother-in-law, Aaron Holbrook of Morehead; sister-in-law, Kelly Vice of Austin, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

He was a former telecommunications installer, having worked in various states. Eric was a devoted husband and father whose greatest joy came from his family. He enjoyed U. K. basketball, watching football with cousins and friends, fishing with his son, cooking family dinners, and spending time outdoors.

Eric had a heart of gold and loved his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Richard Earl Reed, Sr. and paternal grandfather, Hale (Bye) Williams.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jared DeAtley officiating. Burial will follow in Prince Cemetery on Maxey Flat. Those who wish to participate virtually may join live streaming of the service at 2 p.m. on Northcutt & Son Facebook page.

Pallbearers: Zackary Johnson, Noah Belcher, Andrew Martin, Chris Hammond, Allen Yates, and Josh Rice. Honorary pallbearers: Greg Hamilton, Bret Hamilton, Clarence Morris, and Jeff Mabry.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
