Joseph Henry "Joe" Jennings, 64, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021.
He was born in Oakley, Kansas, the son of Leroy F. and Lucille M. Jennings. He was a 1974 graduate of Oakley High School. Joe worked as a salesman in Colby, Hays and Topeka, Kansas.
Joe married Nancy Blecha. She preceded him in death in 1982, as well as their daughter, Meagan. He married Karla (Kushner) Ewing on September 9, 2005 in Topeka. Survivors include his wife, Karla, of the home and three children, Andrew Jennings, Zachary Jennings and Evan Ewing; seven grandchildren; his mother, siblings-Jo Ann, Mary, Monica, Daniel, Greg, Mark, Liz, Jennifer; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and his feline companions, Elsa and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, David and Jeffrey.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid sports fan, including Kansas City Chiefs, K. C. Royals, KU Jayhawks and loved to work on crossword puzzles.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2021. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society of Topeka.
