Nancy was a graduate of Valparaiso University and went on to be a Special Education Resource Teacher for 35 years. She was an active member of her home church, Town and Country Lutheran, where she participated in various music programs including organizing youth ensembles and playing handbells. Nancy had a passion for seeing the world and she shared the love of traveling with her sons.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lynne Boone.
Nancy is survived by her loving children, Nathan and Nicholas; father, Roger Boone, DVM; sister, Joyce Karrfalt (Eric); and brother, David Boone.
Nancy wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to her dear friends and those from her church family that provided so much support during her time of need. A special thank you to her two care-givers, Melissa and Ester, for being such a light when they were with her. She was overwhelmed by the kindness and love they all shared; a true symbol of God's grace in action.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church (1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm EST/10:00 PT on Friday, at the church. Nancy will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. Published in News Tribune February 23, 2021.
