Funeral services for Jason Thompson will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Calcasieu Baptist Church with Reverend John Smith officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Occupy #1 Cemetery, under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Jason, 35, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Colfax. He was born October 9, 1985 in Pineville to the union of Bobby Lee Thompson and Susan (Johnson) Thompson.
He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Upon completion of high school, he continued his education at Louisiana Tech - Ruston and Louisiana State University –Alexandria receiving his bachelor’s degree. He saturated himself in reading, learning and education. He loved his dogs and was a daredevil by heart. He enjoyed scuba diving, sky diving, antiques and shopping for antiques. Jason was a loving brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Lee and Susan Ann Thompson; paternal grandparents, Matt and Ethel Thompson; maternal grandfather, Melrose Johnson; brothers, Paul Matthew and Lance Thompson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are two brothers, Mark Thompson and Eric (Katie) Thompson of Glenmora; four sisters, Dawn Thompson, Cindy Thompson of Glenmora, Katie Thompson of Glenmora and Kelli (Ryan) Brinsfield of Mount Belvieu, Texas; grandmother, Dorothy Bellard of Shreveport; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Mark, Eric, Daulton, Ean, Josh and Kevin Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Matt, Jamie, Dewayne, Joseph, Easton and Noah (Charlie Boy) Thompson.
Visitation will be held in the Calcasieu Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., then on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
