Roger Paul Durant, 88, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Guy Durant and two sisters, Marylin Chalifour and Shirley Russell.
He served in the US Navy Reserves.
He owned and operated several service stations in Florida and North Carolina and enjoyed driving for Apple Country Transportation.
He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Susan Durant; three daughters, Donna (Shane), Renee (Kevin), Lisa (Philip); a son, Derek (Charlotte); ten grandchildren, Kenny, Jessica, Shane, Josh, Caitlin, Jimmy, Angel, Raymond, Pierce, Patrick; five great grandchildren, Carter; a brother, Dale Durant (Gail); a sister, Anne Turner (Joe) and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 3rd from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service with a service following at 3:00 PM with Rev. Doug Carroll officiating. A graveside service will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Derek Tilley officiating.
