He was born May 1, 1961 in Braddock, a son of the late James C. and Jacqueline Lynch Taylor.
He was a graduate of Gateway Senior High School in Monroeville and was a member of Saint Edward Catholic Church of Herminie. Greg was a fun guy with an amazing and infectious personality and loved to goof around. He enjoyed yard work and cutting grass in the summer time and loved a beer now and then. He was self-employed and business owner of CTS Sports at 4377 Guffey Road in Irwin, which offered screen printing, embroidery, laser engraving on apparel. He was very hard working and dedicated to his business. He was famous for his long-winded lectures that were given when needed and absolutely loved his children and would do anything for them. Gregory loved to coach softball and football, especially for teams that his children played on.
He is preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Rhonda Adams.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Mary V. Mosco Taylor, three sons, Gregory Taylor of Trafford, Shannon Brockhoff of Charleroi, and Ryan Taylor of Irwin; three daughters, Susan Lukart of Greensburg, Catherine Taylor of Irwin and Heather Brockhoff of Scottdale; four brothers, James, Jon, Kenneth and Chris Taylor and thirteen grandchildren.
A private visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc., Route 136, Madison. Ronald A. Rich, Jr., Supervisor-Funeral Director.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroeville, Allegheny County with Father Richard Ulam, Order of Saint Benedict, officiating.
Interment will follow.
