Robert "Bob" Alan Quinn, 72, of Camanche, IA, passed away peacefully in his home on February 20, 2021.

Bob was born in Chicago, IL on November 7, 1948, a son of the late William H and Lauretta Quinn.

He leaves behind his wife, best friend and 'partner in crime' of 20 years, Penny Quinn (Bieber); a brother, William "Bill" (Linda) Quinn of S. Carolina; his children: Ed (ToniDawn) Dowell of Arkansas; Dave (Sarah) Dowell of Rockford, IL; Steve (Bualai) Quinn of Grayslake, IL; Nicole (Mike) McMahon of Camanche, IA; Amanda (Matt) Groves of Monmouth, IA; Micheal (Lindsay) Bratthauer of Sabula, IA; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He spent several years building homes with his father in northern Illinois prior to his railroad career. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 23 years of service as a conductor.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on home projects (that required a hammer), proudly displaying his 1938 Ford at car shows, building model cars, and spending quality time with his garage cats.

Bob lived his life to the fullest; he had an ear to listen, wisdom to give, and always had a smile for everyone. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Camanche Food Pantry.

Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve Bob’s family.
