William J. Mayer, age 87 of Whiting, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2021.

Born in Hoboken, he raised his family in Bergenfield before retiring. He served in US Airforce during the Korean War. Bill was a retired member of the IBEW Local 164 and worked part time at Navy Arms in Ridgefield. He enjoyed flying and fishing in his spare time.

Bill is predeceased by his sisters Mary and Annamarie and his brothers Michael and John. He leaves behind his wife Loretta, daughter Ruth Ann, son Joseph and daughter in law Patricia and grandsons William and Matthew. He will always be "Pop" to them.

Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 PM at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 66 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. Mass will be Thursday 10:45 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church in Whiting. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Breadline in NY.
