Mabel Rebecca Ribble, born March 13, 1918 in Huzzah, Missouri to Lewis and Ida (Chandler) Martin. She departed this life to be with her heavenly father on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Southbrook in Farmington, Missouri. Mabel had attained the age of one hundred years, eleven months, and twelve days. She was very proud of her age.

On November 20, 1934 Mabel was united in marriage to George Daniel Ribble Sr. in Potosi, Missouri. They spent 60 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on January 15, 1994.

Mabel seen many world events through her lifetime; including WWI and WWII, 17 different presidents, and Neil Armstrong landing on the moon. She was a one of a kind woman that made many memories, lots of friends and left an impression on all that she met. Mabel was a member of the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church. Through the years Mabel worked many jobs such as manufacturing ammunition for the United States Army Small Arms, in a sawmill, as a logger and as a cook for the Centerville School district. The most rewarding job she had was as a homemaker raising her nine children. Mabel enjoyed many things such as going camping, gardening, canning, knitting, quilting, and chicken scratch embroidery. More than anything she loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mabel was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Lee and Larry Dale Ribble; one brother, Billy Scott; and one sister, Helen Paul.

She leaves behind a very large family, including three sons, Raymond Paul Ribble wife Mary of O'Fallon, Missouri, Lloyd Richard Ribble of Black, Missouri, and George Daniel Ribble Jr of Black, Missouri; four daughters, Linda Dickens husband Jesse of Black, Missouri, Glenda Watson husband George of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Joann Turner husband Lindell of Bunker, Missouri, and Mary Volner of Black, Missouri; three brothers, Jesse Martin of Mexico, Missouri, Bud Scott of St. Louis, Missouri, and Lawrence Scott of Potosi, Missouri; four sisters, Loretta Brewster of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Louette Swearing of Licking, Missouri, Martha Smith of O'Fallon, Missouri and Margaret Pratt of O'Fallon, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great grandson; along with a large host of other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing but celebrate the long life she was blessed with.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 27th at 4:00 PM at McSpadden Funeral Home in Lesterville.
Funeral: Thursday, February 28th at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers: Nathan & Dustin Turner, Bobby Volner, John Ribble, Steve Ribble, Mike Ribble,
