Mr. James "Pat" Ballard, Jr., resident of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at his home at the age of 60. Pat was born in Wynne, Arkansas on July 11, 1960, the son of James Pat Ballard, Sr. and Linda (Baldwin) Ballard.
Pat was a 1978 graduate of Cross County High School, and enjoyed rodeo and motocross racing in his younger years. He and Mrs. Judy (Murphy) Ballard were united in marriage on September 30, 1995. He worked as a welder, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Pat was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Judy Ballard of the home; his father, Pat Ballard, Sr. of Hickory Ridge; a son, James Pat Ballard, III and wife, Jessica, of Hickory Ridge; a daughter, Lori Ballard-Smith and husband, Christopher, of Russellville; a stepson, Michael Pruitt and wife, Sarah Beth, of Cherry Valley; his parents-in-law, Desmond and Merna Murphy; four grandchildren, J.P. Ballard, Jaden Ballard, Parker Pruitt, and Raylan Pruitt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family led memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge with Bro. Mike Lee officiating.
Honorary pallbearer is Clay Mullins.
