Anthony Karl Brown, age 47, of Hazlehurst, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital, Hazlehurst, Georgia. Mr. Brown was born on October 21, 1973 in Jackson, Michigan the son of Frank Horace Brown and Susan Kay Hamilton Kemplin.

Mr. Brown worked as an Electrician/Millwright for Rayonier, Jesup, GA, a member of Union IBEW Local and a member of Oakview Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, GA.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James & Marion Denning, John Karl Hamilton and Horace & Erma Brown, also a half-brother, Coty Brown.

Survivors include:
His wife, Tonya Lee Brown of Hazlehurst, GA.
Two sons: Brandon Karl Brown (Paige) of Hazlehurst, GA and Michael Christopher Brown of Hazlehurst, GA.
Sister, Michelle Wood (Daniel) of Keene, Texas.
Three step-sisters: Jerri Anne Johnson of Broxton, GA, Pamela Corsa (Tommy) of Blue Ridge, GA and Christine Nichols (Don) of Jackson, Michigan.
One step-brother, Donnie Kemplin of Jackson, Michigan.
Mother, Susan Kemplin (Donnie) of Macon, GA.
Father, Frank Brown (Frances) of Broxton, GA.
In-laws, Dale & Lou Merritt of Wray, GA;
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family received friends Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00pm at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church, Ambrose, GA with Rev. Rob Merritt officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Brian Harrison, Brandon Brown, Michael Brown, Bruce Kinnard Jr, Don Kinnard and Bruce Kinnard Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be personnel from Rayonier.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA was in charge of arrangements.

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. required all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility. Masks were not provided.
