A lifelong resident of Jarreau, Joseph "Collins" David passed away Friday, January 19, 2018, at his home at the age of 79. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Visitation & Religious service Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 12364 La. Hwy 416, Lakeland, 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment Chenal Cemetery. Joseph is survived by his children Donna David Pizzolato & friend Wilfred, Deena Doucet & husband Bryan, Joseph David Jr. & wife Glenda. A brother Cecil David, a sister Bernice Howard. Eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends, including Mary Kay Jackson & family, Leah Ransome mother of Donna, Deena & Joe. Joseph loved dancing to Louisiana music & especially Elvis Presley, hunting & fishing. His parents Eddy David & Eunice Porche David, Anna Lee Page, Sally Watkins, Daniel David, Louise David & Cecile David. Professional services entrusted to A. Wesley's Funeral Home of Maringouin, La.
