Funeral services for Mr. Billy Earl Ward, age 74, will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church, Shongaloo, LA, with Rev. W. D. Smith and Bro. Ed Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, 10:00 am until service time at Mt. Paran Baptist Church.

Mr. Ward was born on July 27, 1946 to Earl and Julia Laverne McEachern Ward in Springhill, LA and passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his home in Shongaloo. He was a member of Old Shongaloo Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Willamette after 25 years of service. He enjoyed anything Elvis Presley and watching Gunsmoke.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Williamson and husband, Casey of Shongaloo; son, Stacey E. Ward and wife, Alisa of Shongaloo; five grandchildren, Addison Ward, Brittany Ward, Anna Ward, Chase Williamson, Chance Williamson; two great-grandchildren, Creed Pickett and Addilyn Pickett; and sister, Barbara Ann Williamson of Fordoche, LA.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Ward and Laverne Jordan; and wife, Patricia Gail Ward.

Pallbearers will be Stacey E. Ward, Chase Williamson, Chance Williamson, Casey Williamson, Carlin Carter, and Chad Carter.
