Twin Bridges, Jan. 11.-- Jan. 9 Eugene Baker, aged 22, died from an attack of pneumonia. Deceased was the son of Thomas Baker, the Twin Bridges correspondent of the Standard, and succumbed to a two-weeks siege of the fatal disease, which in its incipiency was aggravated by one of two months' duration, which he suffered in Helena last winter. He was a native of Montana, being born in Virginia City, March 3, 1876, to Thomas and Margaret Baker, both pioneers of Alder gulch. Other relatives remaining are two brothers, John Baker, an attache of the Helena Independent, Fred, well-known to the printing fraternity of Montana, but at present supposed to be in San Francisco, and one sister, Mrs. Annie M. Votaw of Helena. Eugene was buried at Twin Bridges on Monday, the local lodge of the A. O. U. W., of the Virginia City lodge of which his father was a founder, taking charge of the funeral.
