Nathaniel Jones Sr. was born March 9, 1948 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Amanda and Henry Jones where he resided all of his life. He was a Lincoln High School graduate Class of 1967.

Throughout his journey, he accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a faithful member of Greater True Vine Baptist Church, Jarrod Phillips, Pastor. He married the love of his life Cynthia McNabb Jones in 2010. He was a Seaman with National Maritime Union for 31.5 years where he traveled the world. He was a Fashion icon all of his life. He was a wonderful and loving father and husband. He enjoyed spending time with family. He loved to dance and sing.

After an abundant life filled with joy and happiness, he ended his journey February 7, 2021 at his home with family at his bedside.

Left to cherish his memories his loving and dedicated wife, Cynthia McNabb Jones; two sons Darold Jones Sr., Nathaniel Jones Jr. (Valarie) both of Port Arthur, TX; one daughter, Stephanie Jones of Port Arthur, TX; Adopted Angel, Sparkle English; five granddaughters, Eboni Nelson, Geraney Sanders Ashley Jones Howard, Destiny Jones Gibbs, Natricia Jones; two grandsons, Darold Jones Jr. John Savoy Jr.

Extended family, four daughters, Ursula McZiel, Angelica McNabb, Martha McNabb, Anisha McNabb; five sons, Clarence McZiel, Israel McZiel Jr. Corey McZiel, Chester Davis, Keithen McNabb; fourteen granddaughters, Avien Matthews, Cammie McZiel, Chelsea McZiel, Jordan McZiel, Janel McZiel, Ja'Niya McNabb, Ja'Zarri Benson, Madelyn Pickett, Paris Pickett, Londyn Pickett, Arianna Pickett, Laila McNabb, L'orielle McNabb, Lillianna Pickett; eight grandsons, Israel McZiel lll, Corey McZiel Jr., Rashard McZiel, Florentino Ford, Braylon Ford, Jayden McNabb, Ja'Mari Solomon, Zion Tolbert; and a lifelong friend and mother of his kids, Brenda Dozier.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Greater True Vine Baptist Church, 4004 Memorial Blvd., Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
