Died: On Tuesday evening, June 7, 1888, James A Strickland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Strickland. Aged 17 years and 16 days. The deceased had been suffering for some time with a seemingly incurable and painful malady. We are told by those who stood around his dying bed, that he enjoyed the assurance that he was to enter a brighter and better world, free from pain and care. That there was dawning upon his vision a brighter day than the one that ushered in the sunset of his life. He felt at peace with all mankind, and reconciled to the will of Him that "doeth all things well."
