Nicholas T. “Ted” Kloppenborg, 67, of Davenport, IA passed away on February 18, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery, with Military honors. Memorials may be left to the Scott County Volunteer Reserve Unit.

Nick was born on June 19, 1953 in Davenport, to Nicholas and Victoria (Phannestiel) Kloppenborg. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1971. Nick was united in marriage to Deborah Nissen in 1974. She preceded him in death in 2015. Nick completed a career in the United States Marine Corp. He went on to retire from a career at Kraft Foods.

Nick was a former member of the Scott County Sherriff’ Department reserve. He was a 20 year member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

Those left behind to honor his memory include his children: Shane, Jack and Elizabeth; grandchildren: Nicholas, Victoria and Isaiah. Siblings: Mary Jo, Louis, Joan, John, Paula, Nichola, Paul, and Gerard. Mother-in-law, Alberta; Sisters-in-law: Sherry and Terry; Brothers-in-law: Stephen and Jason.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Deb; his Father-in-law, Jack; his sister, Theresa.
