Donna (Jo) Campbell Thomason, 88, of Madison passed away peacefully on February 20.
Jo was born October 2, 1932 in Tullahoma, TN to Don and Christine Campbell. In 1952, Jo married Herman Thomason who was stationed in Tullahoma and they lived there before moving to Huntsville, then finally settling in Madison to raise their family.
She was a devoted wife to Herman, loving mother to Christie (Joey) Swanner and Pat (Sheryl) Thomason and beloved Memaw/Nana to her 6 grandchildren (Ashley, Melinda, Patrick, Joseph, Joel & Emily) and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jo was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Huntsville and an avid Alabama football fan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 54 years, Herman.
Visitation will be Tuesday Feb 23 from 11:15 to 12:30 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Huntsville Memory Gardens at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
