Dennis Myers, age 85, passed away on February 20, 2021 at his home in Blaine. He was a lifelong member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church, a mason, a machinist/mechanic/engineer for Breezy Wynns, C. R. Daniels, Gene’s Jeans, and De Royal Industries. His ability to use his hands to “fix” just about anything was a God given talent that he shared when the need arrived. His love for the outdoors whether fishing, hunting, working in the garden, on the farm, or on machinery kept him always thinking. He was a problem solver. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Ellis and Lilly Myers; brothers, Ben & Martha Myers; Ralph & Barbara Myers; Murrell (Mussy) & Betty Myers; Doug Myers, and Tommy Myers.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alma McCarter Myers; children Dennis Ray Myers of Knoxville, and Patty & Jan Morgan of Rutledge. Grandchildren Nick Morgan, Dusty & Brittany Morgan, and Mitch & Hillary Morgan all of Rutledge. Great-grandchildren Carolina, Sadie, Rhett, Haven, and McCoy Myers Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews that held an important place in his heart.
