Garner native Beverly Beaman Adams died February 19, 2021, with her husband by her side. Beverly was born on February 11, 1950 in Raleigh to Maverine Beaman Taylor and Nicholas Earl Beaman. She graduated from Garner High School in 1968.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Michael L. Adams, step-father Charlie Taylor, brother-in-laws David Andrews and Joe Austin, step siblings Dean Taylor, Gail Higdon, and Ronnie Taylor, and a host of nieces and nephews: Scarlette Andrews Chappell (Chris Fisher),
Sharon Andrews Scott (Kevin), Karen Andrews Bass (Robby), Nicki Andrews Kopsa (Thomas),
Adam Austin (Nicole), Tracy Adams Daniels (Chad), David Adams IV, Leigh Adams White Shawn), Jeffrey Adams, Brittany Adams, Jill Adams Siler (Jason), Jade Adams Stelmach,
Zachary Adams (Ragini)

She is preceded in death by her mother Maverine Taylor, father Nick Beaman, and sisters Brenda Beaman Andrews and Vicki Beaman Austin.

Her service and leadership have touched many lives and fostered the success of numerous organizations in Garner and throughout the state spanning forty years. Near to her heart was her commitment to the Miss America Organization at the local, state, and national levels and her work with the Broadway Voices program.

Beverly enjoyed a long career serving the State of North Carolina with the General Assembly for over forty years. Upon retirement, she went to work with the Garner Chamber of Commerce after volunteering for them for many years.

Beverly represents the best of humanity: service to family, service to friends and neighbors, service to community and service to one’s career.

She is a member of Edenton Street Methodist Church.
