Patrick Steven Lindsey, 72, of Highland, IL, born September 16, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo and passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Pat served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 2910, Bloomington, IL. He loved wood working especially making American Flags. Pat enjoyed restoring and tinkering on older classic cars. Pat was active with the Vet. Center in East St. Louis, IL. He enjoyed the simpler things in life, blue jeans, pocket t-shirts and classic country music. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them and his fur baby Little Bit.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Oakleigh Hemman; parents, Jewell and Loraine (nee Campbell) Lindsey; and his sister, Ruby Turner.
Surviving are his wife, Paula J. (nee Gamboa) Lindsey whom he married August 28, 1965 in Cahokia, IL; children, Dawn (Michael) Swift of St. Jacob, IL, Penny (Scott) Wrigley of Alhambra, IL and Robin (Chad) Kelso of St. Jacob, IL; grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Hellon, Michael (Kayla) Swift Jr., Jessica (Justin) Hatton, Danielle (Lewis) Blyth, Jenna (Dustin) Compton, Julie (Bryan) Jett, Jillian (Nick) Hemman, Cody and Reyes Kelso; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Junior Hellon, Briar and Colt Patrick Swift, Elleiah Compton, Luke Jett, Jemma Hatton and soon to be born Leighton Compton; his sisters, Sherri McNally and Kim Bell; nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
