Kevin L. Brane of Fairhope, AL passed away quietly at home on January 20, 2021 following the diagnosis in December of brain cancer. His wife of 38 years, Susan, was by his side as well as his oldest granddaughter, Kristi, and her husband Ian. Kristi and Ian had been Mr. Brane's constant caregivers for the duration of his brief illness. Mr. Brane was preceded in death by his stepson, Paul Woodham, of Mobile, AL as well as his parents, John and Lorene Brane, who were residing in Birmingham, AL at the time of their passing. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Brane, Mr. Woodham's daughters, Kristi Tanner and Samantha Woodham, as well as Kristi's daughters, Olivia April and Brooklyn Jane. He is also survived by his brother, Clifford Brane, his wife Julie, and their sons Grayson and Andrew of Birmingham, AL. Mr. Brane was an exceptional Aerospace Engineer, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Wichita State University. He started his career at Pratt & Whitney, Palm Beach, later joining the Engineering Team at Teledyne Continental Motors in Mobile, AL where he met and married Susan. After spending 20 years with Teledyne he accepted a position with the FAA in the Atlanta Certification Office where he finished his career, retiring in December 2018. Mr. Brane requested that there be no services. Should anyone wish to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in his memory that would be appreciated.
