Robert H. Bass, age 76, and formerly of Rocky Mount, NC, passed away Friday, Nov. 1 in Loris, SC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Holmes Bass; grandchildren, Daniel Joyner and Savannah Long; brother, Leland Bass, Jr.; and infant sister.

Robert is survived by his children, Patricia Lucas (Ethan) of Wilmington, Ohio, Meta Bohemier (Marc) of Loris, SC, Teresa Ann Ezzell of Rocky Mount, Mary Lynn Hamm (fiancé, Waylon) of Nashville, and Dorothy Kay Ezzell of Conway, SC; brother, James A. "Joe" Bass of Zebulon; sisters, Pauline Bass Surles of Pinetops, Geraldine Bass Jones of Rocky Mount, and Ann Bass Vernon of Sharpsburg; along with 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Robert's life and pay tribute to his memory will take place Wednesday, November 6, 2019, 11:00 am at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 5, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount.
