Papa George always had a great time at the squad building whether it was playing Santa for all the children or just giving the members a hard time but loving them just like they were his own children. The Mount Airy Rescue Squad was Tim’s home and Heavy Rescue 855 was his baby. He was also a former member of the Bannertown Volunteer Fire Department and a former EMT-Intermediate with the Surry County Emergency Medical Services. Another one of Tim’s loves was his pepperoni, sausage, and hamburger pizza from Pizza Hut and his Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Wendi George Bennett and husband Les, and Kandis Lynn George; grandchildren, Khole Bennett, Brady Bennett, Isabelle Bennett, and Tucker Bennett; sisters and a brother-in-law, Sue Anne George, and Amy and Odell Quesinberry; many nieces and nephews; and his Mount Airy Rescue Squad family.
