Myrtle Lee, the daughter of Rudolph and Selma (Olson) Lee, was born on January 28, 1914 in Lake Norden, South Dakota. She was raised on a farm and graduated from Lake Norden High School in 1932.

Myrtle moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1933 and married Cecil L Arnold on May 5, 1938 in Sioux Falls.

An accomplished seamstress, Myrtle enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She also found enjoyment in playing the piano and visiting with family and friends. As one of ten children, Myrtle had a keen sense of humor, and was a talented cook. Family and friends alike will forever remember her great generosity and caring spirit. Myrtle was a longtime member of the Augustana Lutheran Church.

Grateful for having shared her life are two sons; one daughter; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; and two sisters-in-law.

Myrtle was preceded by her husband, Cecil, on January 25, 1995; a son, Robert; her parents; six brothers: Wallace, Raymond, Clyde, Howard, Robert and Stanley Lee; and one sister, Ruth Wood.
