Patricia Ann "Pat" Griffin, 80, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 7:58 am.

She was born May 23, 1940 in Michigan City, IN to the late Henry and Elinor (Hoeppner) Meyers.

Surviving are six children: Michael (Terri) Griffin of Michigan City, IN; Cheryl Garrett of Sumiton, AL; Steven (Carol) Griffin of LaPorte, IN; Robert (Shannon) Griffin of Richmond, KY; Pamela (Phillip) Lavender of Clanton, AL; and Daniel (Karen) Griffin of LaPorte, IN; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She had worked as a nurses aid for 16 years at St. Anthony's Hospital and retired after 26 years as a secretary with the State of Indiana in the Welfare Department and State Corrections. Pat was a hard worker who enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, her cats and dogs and spending time with her family.

Contributions may be made to Michiana Humane Society, 722 Indiana Highway 212, Michigan City, IN 46360.

A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
