At 93-years young, Margaret Montague Knott Harrison died peacefully of old age February 16, 2021, in Richmond VA, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Richmond, VA, December 31, 1927. Her parents were Charles Lewis Knott and Leonide LeSalle Clayton Knott. She had two brothers, Charles Lewis Knott, Jr and William Clayton Knott who pre-deceased her. She grew up in Dinwiddie, VA, then went to college and secretarial school.

Margaret met and married Daniel Edward Harrison. They raised a daughter and a son, and owned The Party Nook while living in Malvern, PA, then retiring to New Bern, NC, in 1986. After Daniel died in 2001, Margaret continued for 12 years managing an antique bazaar and volunteering with the New Bern Historical Society.

Her son, Daniel E. Harrison Jr., and wife, Louisa, convinced her to join their family in Richmond, VA. There she continued her passion for buying and selling antiques while enjoying more time with her grandkids, Bailey, Benjamin and Eliza Harrison, and Joseph Wilner with whom she shared an affinity for what the family (other than Margaret and Joseph) fondly refers to as "old stuff."

When she moved to an apartment at The Towers Assisted Living, she found joy in a best friend, a daily cocktail group, and new activities. She took much pride in her unofficial title among the residents of "Best Dressed." She always appeared, no matter the occasion, impeccably put together. Margaret and her daughter, Ann Montague Harrison Walter (married to Harold Walter, Owings Mills, MD) enjoyed their many shopping days, outings, and lunches.

Grandma-Mom-Margaret's, life will be honored at a private family service in New Bern, NC.
