It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Jean Roach announces her passing after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Marilyn of Greenville, MI, passed peacefully on Feb. 18, 2021, at the age of 80. Marilyn had a large and loving family and will be deeply missed by her children, Rick Churchill, Lori (Mike) Rogers, John Huber; and stepchildren, Kay (Keith) MacKenzie, Loretta (Jim) Holm, Valera (Mike) Lewis, and Jay Huber. Marilyn also leaves behind her beloved sister, Linda (Ray) Transeau; and sister-in-law, Carol (Larry) Hancock. Marilyn will also be remembered with love by 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Marian Ouendag; brother, Robert Ouendag Jr.; sister, Jan Reynolds; stepdaughter, Evelyn Huber; niece, Carla Jo Schnepp; and husbands, Gerald Huber and Jess Roach.

Marilyn was a loving wife and mother who was raised and graduated from Crystal, MI. She later spent time with her late husband, Gerald Huber, as caretakers of the St. Louis Church of God Campground in St. Louis, MI. After Gerald’s death, Marilyn married Jess Roach and resided in Battle Creek, MI. Marilyn moved to Greenville, MI after Jess’s death to be closer to family.

Viewing will be held at Hurst Funeral Home, on Friday, February 26 from 6 – 8 PM and on Saturday, February 27 at Greenville First Church of God, 101 S Franklin St, Greenville, MI from 1 – 2 PM. Funeral Services in memory of Marilyn will take place at 2 PM at Greenville First Church of God on Saturday, February 27 with Pastor Matt Stone officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest in a private service at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the Clay Street Center, 913 S Clay St., Greenville, MI 48838, where she was blessed to have spent time in their loving care.
