Paul A. Gardner, 72, of South Sioux City, Nebraska died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at a local nursing home. Services will be at a later date. Waterbury Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Paul Gardner was born September 26, 1948 in Sioux City the son of Clifford Haines and Neva Johnson. He was later adopted by Victor Gardner. Paul attended school and graduated from Riverside High School. He married Karen in 1972. They later divorced. Over the years, Paul worked for HB Denney Trucking and later, Cooper Feeds (ADM) until his retirement in 2012.

Survivors include his two daughters, Crystal Gardner of South Sioux City and Tiffany Gardner of Sioux City; four grandchildren; six brothers, Cliffy Haines of Elk Point, Steve Gardner of Sioux City, Kevin Gardner of Sioux City, Rick (Julie) Gardner of Sioux City, Dan (Bev) Gardner of Sioux City and John Gardner of Sioux City; four sisters, Peg (Wayne) McDole of Osceola, Christy Harkness of Elk Point, Collette (Rick) Livingston of Elk Point and Cheryl Haines of Elk Point; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Paul Andy Gardner Jr.; father, Clifford Haines and adoptive father, Victor Gardner.
