Billy D. Ellis of Logan WV passed away at Logan Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Born to Don and Mercy Ellis in Maysburg WV in 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years Sue Carol Ellis, 2 brothers Don Ellis Jr, and Larry Ellis, and 5 sisters. Marcella Ellis, Judy Amidon, Lois Conn, Donna Bragg, and Evelyn Ramey. 1 great-grandchild Devlin Dzikowski, and granddaughter in law Tiara Dzikowski.
Billy leaves behind 2 sons William G. Ellis (Robin) of Logan WV. JohnPaul A. Ellis (Michelle) of Logan WV, and 2 daughters, Julia Dzikowski of Logan WV, and Leslie Danovich of Logan WV.

Billy had bonus grandchildren Jesse Copley (Brie-Eyre) of Goldsboro NC, Phoenix Dotson (Ashla) of Killeen TX; as well bonus great-grandchildren Kayden, Quentin, Xavier.
Billy was a man full of life, and he was a hard worker. He worked as a motor electrician for over 40 years in Maryland and DC. He loved to garden and the outdoors. He was a die-hard West Virginia Mountaineer football fan, and he liked watching their basketball games as well. Nothing compares to his love of the Washington Redskins or as they are now called The Washington Football team. He didn’t care what they were called, they were his team. (HTTR)
Billy had fun hobbies. Bigfoot hunting was one of his favorites. Anything paranormal was exciting to him. He loved to sit outside and enjoy nature. He liked to play practical jokes, he definitely was a prankster. His favorite thing to do was walk up behind someone and wait for them to turn around, and they would ultimately jump and scream. He would just laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world.
Billy was a very kind and humble man. He always looked for the good in people, no matter what, even if they did him wrong. He firmly believed in second chances, sometimes third or fourth chances. Just an all-around wonderful human being and he will be greatly missed.
