She was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #251. She was always active with her church and helped teach Sunday school and summer bible camp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Sparkes; brother, Joe Sparkes; first husband, Gene Cooper; children, David Cooper and JoAnn Patterson; and second, husband of 34 years, Charles Hughes. Surviving are her stepchildren, Bob Hughes, Brenda Gregg, Pam (Jeff) Maxwell, Jamie (Sue) Hughes; grandchildren, Randy (Jaci) Patterson, Lisa (Tim) Farber, Bobby (Christy) Hughes, Heather (Andrew) Markie, Shawn Gregg, Demetri (Alisha) Hughes, Ruby Hughes; and twelve great-grandchildren.
